Brianna Johnson, NP

I am a state-licensed Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in 2017 and I managed to complete a Master of Science Nursing Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham where I received intensive education and clinical training to treat clients with various psychiatric disorders across their lifespans. I have extensive experience treating adult patients suffering from depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma-related issues.

Around 2015-2016, I collaborated with a psychiatrist to create a home care plan as I support an individual and their caregivers coping with dementia, Alzheimer’s, schizophrenia, anxiety, grief, depression, and other psychiatric conditions. I evaluate and assess the medical, cognitive, emotional, psychosocial, developmental status, behavioral health, and psychiatric nursing needs of clients. I have also worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) Adjunct Nursing Instructor with a concentration in mental health where I have accomplished nursing professional seeking to leverage extensive experience and recent certification to the next phase of a rewarding nursing career. I build my rapport and provide advocacy to patients.

I conducted therapeutic services that included individual and group therapy in a psychiatric intensive day treatment program for adults primarily 55 years and older who had a psychiatric diagnosis. Provided immediate feedback to patients during sessions in order for them to gain awareness of their own psychodynamics
