Dr. Awa attended the University of Calabar College of Medical Sciences, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery. She completed her residency in family medicine at the John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. She treats patients for a variety of ailments such as arthritis, physical abuse, leg injuries, chlamydia, and atherosclerosis. She also carries out annual physical check-ups, pre-travel check-ups, ENT consultations, and cancer screenings.
